In addition, Barbara has risen to the top of her age category in Triathlon competition
by placing third at USAT’s age group nationals and sixth at 70.3’s World Championships.
Barbara will be part of Team USA competing in Budapest, Hungary in September, 2010
for the Olympic distance World Championships.
She began her athletic career over 30 years ago
growing up in Oklahoma and receiving All
American honors in swimming. In 1984 she
qualified for Olympic trials training with Gary
Butts at Pine Crest.
Barbara teaches a straight forward approach to
understanding how nutrition improves overall
health and athletic performance. By educating
clients about the nutritional benefits of a healthy
diet, portion control, and exercise they gain the
tools to reach their goals. She works with
various groups in the Utah community by
making regular radio appearances on O.Zone
Fit Nation - KFAN 1320, coaching groups and
individuals with diet, weight loss, and athletic
training.
Nutrition continues to be one of the most
undervalued components to overall health and athletic training. Barbara loves working
with the community helping others reach their personal health and athletic goals.
Wes has excelled in his athletic career. He has a long history of competetive swimming, starting
in high school where he competed on an international level. He is a former member of the University
of Utah Swim Team, and is an Elite Age Group Triathlete.
Wes hails from Salt Lake City Utah, and has deep roots in the state, with very supportive parents living
in Springville, 50 miles south of Salt Lake, and four other siblings living in Utah.
Wes enjoys Road Racing, Hiking, Swimming, Volleyball, and being with his friends and family.
His favorite quote is "Eat to train", and he says his goal is to win his age group and qualify for
Kona in his next Ironman.
